Literature Text

Waltzing through a sunlit forest I came upon truth;
It was resting its golden wings on a large warm rock.
I marvelled at its wonder, and its tiny size for such strength.
Beauty streamed through the trees to protect it.
I slowly walked up behind it, hoping to get a better look,
When it was startled by me, and flew away
Like a butterfly suprised by the wind.

I watched it fly into the blue misty morning,
And knew I would not happen upon it again.
A brief observation on a splendid morning.

your poem speaks of blue misty mornings and golden-winged truths in the loveliest way..

i have a special liking for mornings ( and for rain, too, but that's another story..), the way it provides a wonderful setting for me to appreciate life. the dew drops, the warmth of a young sun, the scent of a new day. everything glows and breathes freshness and new beginnings.

and this was what i heard in your poem, the realization of a truth that blends and mingles with new life.
